Farmers needed to increase food production during WWI to support the war effort and feed both soldiers and civilians in the military and allied nations. The demand for food surged due to the mobilization of troops and the disruption of traditional supply chains. This push for increased production often led to changes in farming practices and crop selection to maximize yields.
The War Production Board (WPB) was created by the United States government in January 1942 during World War II to coordinate the production of war materials and supplies. Its primary purpose was to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and increase the output of war-related goods, such as weapons, vehicles, and ammunition. By managing industrial production and prioritizing military contracts, the WPB aimed to support the Allied war effort and mobilize the economy for total warfare.
The U.S. government, primarily through the War Production Board (WPB) and the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC), provided loans to factories to convert their operations to war production during World War II. These loans were aimed at enabling manufacturers to shift from civilian goods to the production of military supplies and equipment essential for the war effort. This financial support was crucial in ramping up industrial output to meet the demands of the military.

Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton announced that the theme park's name would be changed to Disney's Hollywood Studios in January 2008.[12] "the new name reflects how the park has grown from representing the golden age of movies to a celebration of the new entertainment that today's Hollywood has to offer-in music, television, movies and theater. In additon to what the person said above me, Disney only had bought the rights to use the name MGM for about 14 years. Now if you add your math correctly you'll see that it ended in 2003, in which it did. By that time however MGM had gone under so during that time Disney hasn't had anything to worry about. A few years later guests started to take notice that MGM was gone and starting asking questions which is why it finally did change in 2008, because Disney had to change it but they decided it would be best to wait and take their time to see what to call it.
