Lebensraum
Lebensraum.
Lebensraum means living space towards the east where polish Slavs and Russian predominate and where Hitler spelled out in his writings that Germany should take over to allow German farmers to resettle and help feed a growing German population. There were large ethnic German populations in the east especially around the Volga region of the Soviet Union that Hitler hoped to link up to.
Lebensraum was a German policy (created by Adolf Hitler) in World War II that states Germany needed more living space. Germany wanted to control parts of Russia, Poland, and other Slavic nations, kill the "inferior" population of people, and allow Germans to live there. You are WELCOME!
While nothing "allowed" Hitler to sieze foreign territory, one of the main justifications he used for his actions was his doctrine of Lebensraum (living space). For more detail on this, see the link.
Lebensraum was a critical ideology of NAZI Germany based on the claim that the superior race of Germanic people were being deprived of living space due to border restrictions imposed by the Treaty of Versailles. This policy was used to justify territorial expansion in order to displace inferior races and use the land and resources for the German people.

Hitler expected the German army, or Wehrmacht, to be the backbone of his aggressive foreign policy and conquest of territories. He believed that the army would secure and expand German living space, or "Lebensraum," through military force. Hitler viewed the army as vital for the domination and control of Europe under Nazi Germany.

Hitler invaded Poland in 1939. This was because:The terms of the treaty produced the Polish Corridor which split Germany in two. one of the sides became Poland. After the war, Germany had lost a lot of territory and as a part of Hitler's foreign policy aims he wanted more Lebensraum (Living space) so that "pure German"speaking people could be united and the master race could be produced.
The excuse he gave to the German people was to give them "living space". In other words, he expected to replace Polish people with German people.
