The main leader of Fascism was the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Other examples of prominent Fascist leaders were Antonio Salazar in Portugal, Francisco Franco in Spain and the Engelbert Dollfuss-Kurt Schuschnigg regime in Austria.
Adolf Hitler is often linked with Fascism, but technically, he was not a Fascist. His own political philosophy, Nazism, seems very similar to Fascism but differs in some important ways, especially in that it heavily emphasized racism (which Fascism mostly did not) and was not very concerned with economics (which Fascism very much was).
