(BY COMP_UTER15776)ooh. i like these. anyway, the second world war claimed 50 MILLION estimated lives. and, it saw a massive increase in new technology. planes and aerodynamics was a new thing in World War 1, but at the end of ww2 they knew loads, and the piston powered aircraft had had their day. the next item is PEARL HARBOUR. the Americans were not at war with the Japanese, and were attacked unprovoked. then D-Day, the most mommentous invasion ever, since William the conqueror. it had 5 landing beaches: gold, sword, juno,(british and Canadian and others) Omaha, Utah.
