Foreign policy in the U.S took a more isolationist standpoint after World War 1. They even refused to join the League of Nations because they thought we would be dragged into more wars with Europe and other nations. However, in World War 2, the U.S was more involved in foreign affairs. They were more hands on in Europe and Asia. Also, after World War 1, the US really wanted Germany to pay reparations for the damage they caused. They were focused on making other countries pay for damages. But after World War 2, they focused more on assisting other countries in getting back on their feet and restoration.
Australia's foreign policy in the 1950's and 60's was dominated by fearof the spread of communism.
