By far the tanks and aircraft. It made the buildings collapse. Also the advances in rifles. More advanced assault rifles were issued like the semi automatic M1 Garand or the Thompson SMG. Actually the Q is a bit misleading: Yes the weapons were better, more destructive, but in fact it is the ammunition itself that makes the difference. The explosive power was literally more explosive & better delivered to the target because of the improvement in the explosive.
