Determining the exact number of battles won by Rome is challenging due to the extensive history of the Roman Republic and Empire, spanning over a millennium. Rome fought in numerous conflicts, including the Punic Wars, various Gallic Wars, and civil wars, among others. Estimates suggest that Rome won thousands of battles, but precise records are often incomplete or lost. Overall, Rome's military prowess was a significant factor in its expansion and dominance in the ancient world.
The fewest major battles fought in a year were recorded in 1814 and 1815, during the latter part of the Napoleonic Wars. In 1814, the focus shifted to peace negotiations following Napoleon's abdication, while in 1815, the significant Battle of Waterloo marked the end of the conflicts. These years were characterized by a transition from warfare to diplomatic resolution.

Warkwick Castle has been the site of several military engagements throughout its history, particularly during the Wars of the Roses in the 15th century. Notably, the castle was involved in battles such as the Battle of Edgehill in 1642 during the English Civil War. However, there were no specific battles fought directly at the castle itself; rather, it served as a strategic stronghold and residence. The castle has witnessed numerous sieges and skirmishes over the centuries, reflecting its historical significance.

You probably mean "cold war" related wars. The way you've worded this question it could mean "any war", in which case there were probably hundreds of little wars fought on earth from 1945 to 1990. To include: 1. Wars in Africa against White rule (wars against Apartheid). 2. Wars in the Middle East (Southwest Asia) between the Israelis and Arabs. 3. Wars of power struggles else where on the globe; to include insurgencies. There were some communist related cold war battles fought in Greece, Turkey, Central and South America, etc. But the only "big" battles were the two wars fought in Korea and Vietnam that directly related to communism vs the free world.
they fought over it and tried to take it for their own. Had many wars and battles to try and get it.
