It is now greatly disputed by historians and scholars if gas chambers were used at all. If they were, surely this information would have spread before the Allied invasion of Europe, but it didn't. These stories only emerged after the fall of Berlin and have been credited as Propaganda to gain public support for the Allied invasion, and as a means so that the League of Nations would be in a position to expel Muslims from Palestine.
