Sher Shah Suri defeated Humayun in the Battle of Kannauj on 17 May, 1540, and captured Delhi and Agra. He ascended the throne of Hindustan and established the Sur Dynasty. Humayun had to leave India and took refugee in Persia.
Bahadur Shah II, also known as Bahadur Shah Zafar (1837-1857) was the last Mughal Emperor of India. He took part in the 1857 war of independence and was exiled to Rangoon in Burma, where he died in 1862.

When the February Revolution broke out it was clear that Nicholas II had lost control of the country and could not stop the revolution that was beginning. He was convinced he had to abdicate in order to preserve order. The new Provisional Government took him into custody to assure that he would not be able to take back the throne he had just given up or that no one else could put him back on it. The plan had been to send him in exile to England; but the Bolsheviks staged their coup in the October Revolution and toppled the Provisional Government. The Bolsheviks then took Nicholas into their custody and quickly decided it would not be a good idea to allow the former Tsar to live in exile in another country where he might gain support for restoration. When the Russian Civil War broke out it was clear to the Bolsheviks that some of the forces fighting against them would try to put Nicholas back on the throne, so the Bolsheviks murdered him and his whole family in July 1918.
Nadir shah took the peacock throne to persia along with other treasures. He went on a campaign with kurbish tribesmen. He was assassinated and the throne was demolished by the tribesmen and the jewels taken away. It is now kept in museum.

Nader Shah agreed and withdrew.

The Peacock Throne is one of the magnificent works of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. During his reign, the Mughal treasury was full of precious stones, gold and diamonds. So he decided to make use of them to build a beautiful throne. It took seven years to complete at a cost of one crores of rupees.

Shah Jahan had wished his eldest son Prince Dara Shukoh should succeed him. When Shah Jahan fell ill in 1657, war of succession took place among his four sons. In the battle of Samugarh in 1658, Aurangzeb defeated his elder brother Dara Shukoh. He then imprisoned his father and ascended the throne of Hindustan.
