No Job or proper health care, no schools were provided. Governor Eyre ruled with a iron fist paid no attention to the needs of the people. Letters were sent to England to the Queen who was advised that the allegations where not true. She in-turn responded that the ex-slaves should work harder, when news had back to the people of Morant Bay they felt that England did not care for the situation that is what started the rebellion.
