Vanuatu is an archipelago located in the South Pacific Ocean, situated approximately 1,750 kilometers (1,090 miles) east of Australia. It consists of around 80 islands, with the largest being Espiritu Santo, Malakula, and Efate, where the capital city, Port Vila, is located. The country is known for its volcanic landscapes, rich biodiversity, and vibrant indigenous cultures. Vanuatu is part of Melanesia and is bordered by the Solomon Islands to the north and New Caledonia to the south.
