To do this put castellated ball joint nut on backward and flush to protect threads. Strike balljoint nut with deadblow hammer while prying lower control arm loose. If that is the case pull the drum off after removing the wheel and remove four bolts holding the axle bearing to the differential housing (on opposite side of brake backing plate) and then use a reversible hammer (axle puller) to pull the axle out from the differential axle housing.
