Well I believe all ATV's are 4 Stroke engines now so here is a list of things. First off engines are intake and outtake. So get a better air filter definatly. Also if your willing to put some money in you can change the carb. then you have the spark plug always change the stock one and get the best you can get. I recommend the E3 spark plugs. then on the outtake get a better exaust. this will increase power and lower operrating temperatures. if your quad has a good battery/electrical system you can add a blower kinda like a supercharger. They make low pressure blow up bed blowers and those with work jsut fine and they operate at 12volts. it will not give you a huge increase in power but it will be noticable especially at top speeds and mid range rpms. A performance CDI will also do a great job in adding RPMs and Power. Since its a 4 stroke you could operate Nitro but not recommended. They have Octane boosters for cars i would guess you could definatly increase your octane to 100 but no higher. You might want to add a fan if your engine is air cooled. A minor upgrade would be the gas filter and gas line. use the biggest gas line you can even use bigger and buy smaller line to put on as adapters this will make sure your machine is getting its juice when it needs it. if your gas line had cracks or was bent before you will notice a difference in power definatly. Ive done that to two 2 stroke 50cc engines and i got atleast 5 amore MPH. That's huge increase since my old line was pinched really small. Clean out your carb if its older. so let me make a quick list for te cheap and expensive.
---CHEAP
Gas lines
Gas Filter
Spark plug
Air Filter
---Expensive
New Carb
Blower
Exhaust
Big Bore Kits or Larger Engine.
Nitro (not recommended)
I hope all this helps you get started if you did all these things watch out youd have one Mean Machine. if it was a 10hp i bet you could get 20 or higher with all of this.
Cheap and easy hp gain Replace stock air filter remove air box. And upgrade exhaust

A magneto on an ATV works like an alternator or generator on a car. It creates power, which re-charges your battery and provides power to the electronics of the ATV.

Spring rubbers won't work?
The power of a Polaris ATV depends entirely on the model you buy. On average, they vary between thirty and eighty horse power on a new vehicle, less if the vehicle is second hand.
20 horsepower
Yes it can.
The increase/decrease screw on the Timberwolf ATV engine is used to adjust the idle speed of the engine. Turning the screw clockwise will increase the idle speed, while turning it counterclockwise will decrease the idle speed. It is important to adjust this screw carefully to ensure the engine runs smoothly.
The Can-Am 900 has the most horsepower.
Just buy a new ATV, and your problem is fixed!
push the lock button then push the power button
It makes all it the best by the power and the features and the Honda and can-am are the best
