stick a screw driver in sprocket hole into the slits cut for tightening loosen the two bolts and jerk ATV forward
you can tighten the actual chain but that may be hard to do. my advice is that there shoulbe be some bolts in the swingarms that holg the axle in one place loosen them and move the axle back until the chain is where you want it
how do you tighten a chain on a 150 ATV
To tighten the chain on a Honda TRX 450R ATV, first, place the ATV on a level surface and secure it. Loosen the axle nuts on both sides of the rear axle. Then, adjust the chain tension by turning the adjuster bolts located at the rear of the swingarm; turn them evenly to maintain alignment. Finally, check the chain tension and re-tighten the axle nuts to secure the adjustment.
you shorten the chain links

250x is a 4 stroke. The only 2 strokes Honda ever made were the 250R ATC and ATV.
It has an automatic chain tensioner..
To tighten the chain on a 2007 Honda TRX 450ER, first, place the ATV on a flat surface and elevate the rear with a lift or stand. Locate the chain adjusters on the rear axle; they are typically found on both sides. Loosen the axle nut slightly, then turn the adjuster bolts evenly on both sides to achieve the desired chain tension. After adjusting, recheck the tension, ensure the axle nut is securely tightened, and check the alignment before lowering the ATV.
To tighten the drive chain on a Tao Tao 110cc ATV, first, locate the adjustment bolts on the rear axle. Loosen the axle nuts slightly, then turn the adjustment bolts evenly on both sides to increase chain tension. After achieving the desired tension, re-tighten the axle nuts securely. Finally, check the chain's slack to ensure it's within the recommended range before testing the ATV.
It's not too bad you need to get the engine at tdc and then check the flywheel marks through the timing hole. Check out my bio page for help.
I would either talk to my local Honda shop (most shops are pretty cool about helping out someone with a little bit of info-just don't overdo it on getting some free info) or buy a manual here: http://www.atv-411.com/honda-atv-repair-manual-9.html
undo pinch bolts, rotate cam clockwise (that's the big housing that the axle runs through) and tighten pinch bolts again. Its not a cam its called the carrier and you would turn towards the front of the ATV to tighting, still allow the chain to have some slack 3/4 inch
