When you install the camshaft into the head there will be two marks on the back side of the cam gear. After you have turned the flywheel, and got the "T" mark to line up with the slot in the inspection hole, you will need to turn the camshaft gear until the marks line up with the surface of the head. You also need to make sure the cam lobes on the camshaft are facing downward. The 1981 motors will have a self adjusting cam chain tensioner.
