The top speed of a 50cc moped typically ranges from 28 to 40 mph, depending on the model and local regulations. However, with modifications such as upgrading the carburetor, exhaust, or gearing, some riders may push speeds slightly above this range. It's important to note that altering a moped for higher speeds may violate local laws and safety regulations. Always prioritize safety and compliance when considering modifications.
There's no such thing as a 250cc moped. A moped is a 50cc scooter with a top speed of 30mph restricted.
Stock? Probably 30 on flat ground. Pretty standard of a 50cc engine
my 50 cc moped can go 30-35 at top speed
It is not likely that you will go to jail unless you are under the influence or have hurt someone. You are likely to be issued a citation and have to make a court appearance.
That all depends on the size of an engine. If it is under 50cc (in Michigan at least) you must be at least 15 and get a moped license which costs about 8 bucks, and you have to register the moped and put a sticker ont he back that costs 15 bucks. If it is OVER 50cc you need a driver's license and a moped endorsement. If it IS under 50cc AND you have a driver's license, you're good to go. Also, if you get a driver's license after you get a moped license, you have to give up the moped license, but you can still legally ride it
A person can purchase a 50cc Moped on the internet by using Ebay or Best Price Com or Scooter Depot, or Power Sports Max or visiting a 50cc Moped garages, shops or showrooms belonging to Rockville Motorsports,CD Scooters, Scooter Company UK, Mopeds Company UK, Scooter Stop LV, Orlando Scooter or Scooter Crazy.
That is a matter of personal opinion and is also influenced to some extent on the use you intend for it. If you like to go off road then a Trails or Enduro Moped would be best. If you care more about speed then a Sports moped would suit you best and for economy a commuter moped or scooter.
