The Timberwolf, like most ATV's, transmission is lubricated by the same oil that lubricates the engine, so it is all the more important to check your engine oil every time you ride. While your at it, when was the last time the oil was changed? OEM's recommend oil changes annually. I live in Michigan and only ride when I'm up-North, unfortunately sometimes that's only 5 weekends of serious riding a year. I make sure to change oil on all the ATV's in my herd every other year. It doesn't take long to do and don't forget to change the filter too, and you might want to look into an oil specially formulated for wet clutch ATV's. It only costs a few cents a quart more and can be purchased at most auto stores.
