Need the fuse location on a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 400.
where is the fan fuze located on my 500 Polaris sportsman
This year and model doesn't have a fuse box. MY 2003 Polaris Sportsman 600 twin has TWO breakers below the front center headlight, under the panel. They are inside black plastic pouches that are zip-tied to electric cables.
Firstly it's a polaris. Temp sensor, fan relay, fan motor, air in cooling system, thermostat, water pump, control box. Take your pick they all fail or cause overheating problems. Very annoying.
On a Polaris Sportsman ATV, the fan sensor is typically located near the radiator or on the engine. It is usually mounted on the engine's cooling system and monitors the temperature to regulate the cooling fan's operation. Depending on the specific model, it may be found in different positions, so consulting the owner's manual for your particular model can provide the exact location.
There is a fuse box under the hood, next to the battery. The fan relay is in there.
If the relay is good and the fan is getting power and groun, then the fan motor is bad.
The most common reason for and electric fan not to run is a disconnected wire. Make sure all of the wires are connected and not corroded.
Mounted next to the radiator.
Check fan relay
If only high speed is effected check the high speed relay and/or the fan switch/electrical connections for problems.
my fan went out on my wifes 2003 jeep liberty. i just spliced a wire from the wiring harness to another wire that turned on when the car turned on and the fan turned on.
