Your 2004 KTM 50 SX may be leaking fluid from a small hole at the bottom of the engine due to a few potential issues. It could be a sign of a leaking oil seal, a damaged gasket, or a problem with the crankcase. Additionally, if the fluid is coolant, it might indicate a crack in the water jacket or a faulty water pump. It's important to diagnose the exact fluid type and source to address the issue properly.
It could be a bad water pump if it's leaking out the weep hole at the bottom of the water pump.
leaking rings
If it's leaking transmission fluid, could be a bad pump seal. If it's leaking engine oil, could be a bad oil filter, leaking valve cover gasket, leaking intake manifold gasket, leaking oil pressure sender, leaking distributor gasket.
Perhaps you mean by-pass hose. It allows a small amount of coolant to circulate in engine prior to thermostat opening
It could be leaking from the water pump. There is a small hole in the bottom of water pumps that will leak coolant when the bearing id going out. This is so you have an indication of failure before it comes apart and destroys other engine parts.
It's probably tranny fluid, Power steering fluid is usually clear.
It could be either. You need to determine where the fluid is leaking from to know the failed part.
Oil is stored in the crankcase located on the bottom of the engine block.
It is called the Windshield Washer Fluid Resevoir.
If it making a loud squealing sound when you turn the steering wheel, the power steering fluid level is low. The reddish fluid you are seeing on the ground is power steering fluid. It is probably leaking and that would be why the fluid level is so low.
because it may have a leak so yeah a small leak
There isn't one. I can't remember where exactly it is, but there is a small plug on the trans itself. You have to remove the plug and the fluid level should be to the bottom of the hole. There isn't one on all setups. If you don't see it between the engine and the battery then there isn't one. In that case there is a small plug on the trans itself. You have to remove the plug and the fluid level should be to the bottom of the hole.
