Yes, you're completly right. Fitting the unlimited cdi unit will do the most for your bike as this is what controls the rpm (revs per minute) the more revs you are doing the faster top end, with this you should expect an extra 7mph which may not sound alot but it's good. The race coil should give you an extra 3mph if that so 10mph more with just these two, not bad.

for level3 nvq what are the consturtion and use regulations on fitting coil springs into vehicles
You cannot repair a motorcycle coil. Best bet is to test the coil to ensure it is bad. Your Suzuki should test between 3-6 ohms on the primary and secondary coil connections and between 18,000-30,000 when testing between the secondary and the plug wire.
To test a motorcycle coil, first, ensure the ignition is off and disconnect the coil from the motorcycle. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the primary terminals; it should typically read between 0.5 to 3 ohms. Then, check the secondary terminals, which should show a higher resistance, usually between 6,000 to 15,000 ohms. If the readings are outside these ranges, the coil may be faulty and should be replaced.

I have a 94 and mine was in the lower evaporator coil line actually in the coil at the firewall. It could also be in a fitting on the smaller line coming from your evap. coil.
Yes, a tachometer measures engine speed in rpms. Most aftermarket tachs attach to the coil, measuring the rate of fire to determine engine speed. Any motorcycle aftermarket supplier should have one, anyone have links?
To increase the speed of rotation of the coil, you can increase the voltage applied to the coil or reduce the resistance in the circuit. Additionally, using a stronger magnetic field or reducing the friction in the system can also help increase the speed of rotation.
