"yeah but instead of surf you should teach it water spout. If it cant learn water spout let it learn a move like muddy water or hydro pump so that it can 1-hit K0 Pokemon that are weak against water types "
"the guy above is a n00b...surf is the better move over hydro pump and muddy wateris just a less accurate version of surf. swampert cant even LEARN water spout...and surf can definitely OHKO Pokemon weak vs. water types "
"true guy above this cause muddy water less accurate but it does lower foes accuracy but that like 20% chance so i would go with surf, it cant learn hydro pump cause there no TM for it, earthquake is good for swampert, maybe takedown(i like it) and last could be what u like/ "
"first guy wow(stupid kind of way). swamperts phisycal attack is amazing. earthquake for sure, hammer arm super powerfull, its hard to find a phisycal water attack so is you have pearl/diamond teach it waterfall. if emerald dive. if platinum dive, waterfall, aquatail. instead of iron tail use ice punch because hes weak to grass and iron tail has alow accuray. and btw mudkip learns hydropump at lv42 then u can make mudkip evolve to marshtomp then swampert. XD "
"wow yall hella retarted these are the moves that are good for swampert are surf ice beam earthquake nd hydro cannon!!!!"
Okay, listen, no. Just ignore all of that. First off, go with Avalanche/Ice Punch. You'll need an Ice move to counter any Grass type foes. Avalanche has a TM (TM 72), and Ice Punch can be tutored to Swampert. Earthquake is a strong offensive for an Attack-strong Pokemon like Swampert, so use that too. Now, here you can go one of two ways. If you want your Swampert to be diverse in battle, you could teach it Rest or Curse as two defensive moves, or Hammer Arm/Iron Tail and Hydro Pump/Waterfall for an offensive.
Swampert can learn Hydro Pump through it's first evolution stage, Mudkip. If you train your Mudkip up while it holds an Everstone (So that it does not evolve), to level 42, it will try to learn Hydro Pump. Hydro Cannon I wouldn't suggest teaching, but that's just me. Hammer Arm is learned at lvl. 69 by Swampert, Iron Tail comes in TM form (TM 23).
Personally I go for the offensive, but I use Rest or Toxic instead of Hammer Arm or Waterfall. Rest should be combined with the Berry that wakes a Pokemon up once it falls asleep.
Hope that helped
The person above this is 100% correct
Nature shouldn't matter. Frenzy Plant, Leaf Storm, Wood Hammer, Earthquake.
Of course but as usual you need to watch out for certain trainers: Ice types can easily beat your gliscor and garchomp, Ground type trainers will have no problem beating tyranitar, metagross and aggron, Grass type trainers can beat your tyranitar and swampert easily. Be careful around those trainers to fix this problem teach your Pokemon moves to avoid there weaknesses.
To be honest, no. But once you get to a higher level and start getting moves like earthquake and evolve it, its pretty good. (And I don't recommend evolving it
HMM YOUL NEED A TORTERA EMPOLON OR INFERNAPE LVL ABOVE 60 A DIALGA ANY LVL AND A FLOATZEL LVL 41 WITH A BAT POKEMON AND CARNIVINE LVL33 If you need a good team use mine! Swampert(lvl 100) moves: earthquake blizzard hydro cannon surf Walrein(lvl 100) sheer cold blizzard aura beam body slam Salemence(lvl 100) dragon claw double edge Draco meteor dragon breath venesaur(lvl 100) solar beam synthesis frenzy plant grass knot zapdos(lvl 100) thunder thunderbolt drill peck fly magmortar(lvl 100) overheat fire blast flamethrower sunny day my reserve Pokemon are:Infernape level 100 moves flamethrower blastburn fireblast close combat. Charizard level 100 moves blastburn overheat heatwave flamethrower.
Ice Beam (or Blizzard), Grass Whistle, Wood Hammer and Avalanche. Ice beam and Blizzard are the strongest moves an ice type can learn. It'll give a lot of damage to an opponent who is weak to ice types (Dragon and grass) but you only have 5 moves. Grass Whistle puts a Pokémon to sleep. Wood Hammer causes a pretty strong move, but the Pokémon that uses the move takes damage. And Avalanche inflicts more damage if the Pokémon who uses it is hurt in the same turn. Be aware, the line up of moves only goes up to about 20; so have a backup Pokémon in your battle or Abomasnow will run out of moves.
sortof it will get hit with recoil if it uses giga impact
Earthquake Endeavor Mud shot Hydro pump(Mudkip learns it in lv. 44)
Chairzard: Blast burn, heat wave, dragon claw, aerial ace. Dragonite: Outrage, hyper beam, thunderbolt, earthquake. Metagross: Meteor mash, psychic, earthquake, body slam. Swampert: Muddy water, earthquake, ice beam, body slam. Electivire: Thunderbolt, body slam, light screen, protect. Charizard: flamethrower, draagon claw, earthquake, fly.Dragonite : dragon rush, ice punch, fire punch , thunderpunch. Metagross: meteor mash, psychic, earthquake, shadow ball. Swampert: hammer arm, surf, icepunch, earthquake.Electivire: thunderpunch, firepunch, icepunch and cross chop or earthquake.
for swampert the best moves surf mudshot water pulse and headbutt i think that mudshot isn't such a good move considering that swampert isn't good in special attack and mudshot is a weak special attack. so teach it like a focus punch or something like that. and replace water pulse with hydro pump or blizzard.
Swampert is primarily a physical tank, so I would suggest replacing Muddy Water and Mud Shot with Avalanche, which takes advantage of Swampert's low speed stat, and Endeavor, which allows Swampert to do some additional damage. Solar Beam on Sceptile also is rather a bad choice without sun support from another Pokemon on the team. You do need to change that up quite a bit for all of those Pokemon. Here are recommended moves for the Pokemon you listed. Sceptile -Leaf storm -Leaf blade -Focus blast -Hyper Beam/Dragon pulse Swampert -Muddy water -Earthquake -Hammer arm -Ice beam/endeavor/stone edge Blaziken -Blaze kick -Sky uppercut -Thunder punch -Brave bird/Stone edge
this is my team will tell you the moves later cause I am not playing right now but I know some of the moves Swampert- muddy water, hammer arm, earthquake and waterfal Lucario- swords dance, close combat, extremespeed and dragon pulse Togekiss- aura sphere, extremespeed, sky attack and air slash Blaziken- flare blitz, bulk up, brave bird and sky uppercut Metagross- hammer arm, meteor mash, psychic and agility Espeon- psychic, morning sun, psych up and shadow ball Haven't lost
...Not bad, make sure they know some good moves.
Earthquake Surf Ice Beam Rock Slide/Body Slam/Brick Break/Counter/Rest/Protect Earthquake is the best move Swampert can learn, due to STAB and its high ATK. Surf is for being a standard Sp.Atk move w/STAB. Ice Beam slightly covers the Grass quadruple weakness, due to its averga but not high Sp.Atk. While Rock Slide, Body Slam, and Brick Break are simply good Atk moves, Counter punishes foes with even stronger Atk moves, assuming Swampert didn't faint. Otherwise, Swamper can use Rest while holding a Chesto/Lum Berry, or it can hold Leftovers while using Protect.
Definitely Swampert. It only has one weakness, ice which can be beaten with a super-effective hammer arm and Blastoise has only one type and not nearly as diverse a move set. Plus, Swampert is so dang cool and good at battle frontier and gyms.
