There are three possibilities.1 The cheapest to fix and the most likely scenario is the same problem that I had on my 1984 300zx turbo.There is a small dime sized rubber part on the brake pedal that depresses a small brake switch when you push down on the brake pedal. This turns the brake lights on. When this is removed or falls off, there is nothing to depress the switch and so the lights stay on. There is a similar part on the clutch pedal. I was quoted over $100. to fix this brake switch problem until I found out what it really was, bought the part and fixed it myself. Took about 10 minutes.Order these parts from your Nissan dealer.2 of 46584-S0100 = $1.76 each1 of 46512-H0101 = $0.91 each (manual transmission only)I have had both problems with my 86 300zx.
