No, they have separate flasher relays. Be sure to check bulbs and fuses too when trouble shooting flasher issues. On some vehicles also check license plate bulb/wiring, trailer hitch wiring and don't forget the center, high-mount stop light (3rd brake light) bulb(s). The Integra uses a dual-filament bulb in the tail light, which has one contact for the running light (the lights you turn on at night) and another brighter one for the brake light (only goes on when you press the brake pedal). You have replaced the bulb with the wrong type. You will need a 2057 bulb for the Integra.
More than likely the brake light switch is defective or out of adjustment.

The brake light switch needs adjustment. Located on the brake pedal swing arm. Adjust until the light comes on when the pedal is moved 1/4 inch.

The intermittent illuminate of the brake light can indicate multiple or single brake conditions. These can include low brake fluid which may be surging from braking to the brake pad replacement sensors (if equipped) engaging. The only definitive way to diagnose the light is to have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes.
First check to make sure that the E-brake is not slightly on and the E brake cable is adjusted properly so as not to trip the warning light. Also check the master brake cylinder fluid to make sure it is full as this too can trip the light. The brake switch which is located near the brake pedal may be bad. Finally ,if the master cylinder is loosing pressure internally the master cylinder may be starting to fail and will require replacement.
