A 17-year-old can not get married in Texas without parental consent unless they have court approval. That's going to be hard to get if your parents object and your only reason is because "we don't want to wait another year until I'm 18".
As far as moving out, anyone under the age of 18 is a minor and therefore under the control and authority of their parents, which means the parents decide where you live. There is a big difference between moving out on your own (into your own place and fully supporting yourself) and moving in with a boyfriend. I'm willing to bet that if your parents scream loudly enough about it, then they can get something done. For example, Texas has laws that cover: Enticing a child (intent to interfere with the lawful custody of a child younger than 18), Harboring runaway child (knowingly harboring a child who is younger than 18 and who is voluntarily absent from their home without the consent of their parent or guardian for a substantial length of time or without the intent to return), Interference with rights of guardian of the person (takes, retains, or conceals a ward when the person knows that by doing so it interferes with the right of a guardian of the person to have physical possession of a ward and to establish the ward's legal domicile).
But, I'm not an attorney.
There is no state that will allow a 17-year-old to get married without parental consent/court approval/special circumstances. In one more year you'll be 18 and then you can get married in any state without parental consent, with the exception of Mississippi (where you have to be 21) and Nebraska (where you have to be 19).
It is totally okay for a 17 year old to date an 18 year old. You are both old enough to know if the relationship will be good for you.
You can DATE the guy, yes. Anything beyond that could have legal repercussions for the 18 year old.
They certainly may not force her to get married. Such acts often fall under human trafficking laws. She should contact social services.
Yes, you can give them permission to move out. It will not remove your responsibility for their welfare.
Legally as in without parent permission? Peircings are legal anytime in your life
When they are 18 unless they have parental permission.
Yes at 16 you can move out in most parts of the world. And you can stay with your boyfriend .
yes they can a restraining order
If you have parental permission, yes, you can.
Not legally unless she has parental permission. Until they reach 18 the parents are responsible for him.
She hasn't reached the age of majority yet, so she has to have parental permission to do it legally.
No, not unless she gets married (which requires parental permission) or is emancipated.
Only with parental permission as long as she is a minor. Age of consent is 16 there.
If you are younger than eighteen, you can be legally emancipated from your parents. They can also sign papers giving you permission to marry your boyfriend.
A 17-year-old is a minor and cannot legally move out without parental permission unless they have been emancipated in some manner.
Nope. You need parental permission until you are 18yo. 18 is also the age of consent in Arizona so you can not have sex legally either.
Only if the parents give permission. Until you are 18 in South Carolina, the parents continue to be responsible and make the decisions.
no she can NOT no she can NOT
No. It may be illegal for you to have sex with him and since it is your parents house you can't legally move the boyfriend in without their permission but it's not illegal for him to live there. If he is also a minor and his parents don't want him to move in there could be problems.
Only if the minor has been legally emancipated by the court. And no judge is going to emancipate a minor so they can go live with their boyfriend. When you turn 18 you can move anywhere you want.
