Greenland is cold, Cuba is hot. Greenland is a democracy, Cuba is not. Greenland has good relations with the USA, Cuba does not. Greenland occupies a much larger island than Cuba.

What is the name of huge island northeast of Canada?

I'm not sure if this is the island you mean, but Greenland is northeast of Canada. Improved answer by webmasterpdx...... The Island is called Ellesmore Island and belongs to Canada. There is a dispute about one of the little islands between this island and Greenland called Hans island (obviously between Greenland and Canada). I'm not sure why because there is nothing there :-), and it's too darn cold to live. I think the population of Ellesmore island is something like 100 plus maybe up to 100 more of military origin.
