How could anyone enjoy being taken forcibly from their home and family, shackled hand and foot and transported with hundreds of others in unsanitary, packed inhumane conditions by ship to a foreign country to be sold to work in terrible conditions with no rights? Get real.
Actually most of the slaves chose to come to America where they could live in a house and get 3 hots and a cot. as compared to living in Africa where you would not only have to go out and hunt for your dinner but have a chance of it eating you for dinner to.
it wasn't sunshine and rainbows in Africa and it still isn't, i bet if they reestablished slavery I'm sure we would still get some volunteers to come to America. because it hasn't changed much.
i also assume you are talking about prior racism time when slavery was strictly business and not a predigest thing. as a matter of fact one of the first slave owners was a former black slave that worked to get his freedom, saved up money and bought some slaves to start his own farm his name was Anthony Johnson.
so in summary slavery was not a bad deal and many black people owned their own slaves, it's just people don't talk about it because it is suppose to be evil and wrong and nobody ever does research anymore.

1865 is when Black slave trade ended in America. While January 1, 1808 was date for ending importation of slaves, the internal American slave trade (black slaves passed around within states) and involvement in the international slave trade or outfitting of ships for that trade by U.S. citizens were not banned.
Unfortunately, the slave trade of black women and black people in general was devastating to slave families. Most often, families were separated, and black women never saw their families again.
the slave trade was abolished for many reasons, like economy was a big part in it, and some slaves them selves!!!
because he did not like the way the slaves were treated
they were the ones who captured the black slaves?
Slave trade was caused by the fact of black slaves were very cheap to purchase and they can produce a lot of money. They made a lot of profit, that's why the slave trade started.
slaves hence the name Atlantic SLAVE trade
slave trade
Because unlike the indentured slaves who was white the slaves who were black did not have a choice but to work and get beat
slaves were the most important things in the slave trade
Portugal, which played an important role in both the beginning of the Atlantic Slave Trade as well as the Asian Slave Trade, always used slaves for economic reasons. They originally used slaves as a medium of trade.
The vast majority of slaves imported in the slave trade went to European colonies in the Americas, particularly in regions such as the Caribbean and Brazil. These slaves were used for labor on plantations producing crops like sugar, coffee, and tobacco.
Slaves were referred to as black gold because they were seen as valuable, like the precious metal, due to their economic importance and profitability to slave owners in the transatlantic slave trade. The term highlights the dehumanization and commodification of enslaved individuals for economic gain.
The slave trade has not been stopped - there are still slaves in parts of the modern world.
