Ikuto betrayed them, but in the end, Tadase and Amu see what he really wanted. He actually left them to go on a journey to find his father with Tsukasa, but later is taken by Easter. Ikuto is forced to everything, and obeys to protect Utau and his mother. Ikuto did not kill Betty, Betty was sleeping. She was an old dog and died. Grandma actually just fell and was never same. The dumpty key was actually Ikuto's father's, but Tadase's father had it. It says that all Ikuto wanted was for Amu to embrace all his sadness, everything. And Amu did in the end. I hope that helped, and wasn't too much of a spoiler.
