Santa Claus, or Father Christmas, is popular all over Africa, wherever Christianity is.
African families celebrate Christmas just as you do in the northern hemisphere; Christmas Day lunch, Christmas trees, mom or dad in a warm Santa Claus outfit, Church in the morning, Christmas carols, fake snow, Christmas decorations, gift giving, visiting family etc. American Hollywood movies of Christmas are also wide spread.
Each language in Africa will have its own translation of Father Christmas or Santa Claus though many also speak English and will understand those names just fine. French is also popular and there are pockets of German and Italian.
Obviously the celebrations vary based on poverty which is widespread in Africa. I grew up in relatively well-off South Africa and we celebrated Christmas very similarly to how I celebrate it now in Ireland. We even had a few Christmas day lunches on the beach in 30 degree heat.
No, santa is a very busy and extremely racist man and as such, only has time to deliver presents to the Northern hemisphere

Kenya is named after Mt. Kenya its highest mountain. It is the second highest mountain in Africa after Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It is a misconception that the name Kenya originated from its first president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. And whilst the name came from Mt. Kenya, the mountain was not originally called Kenya as Kikuyu locals called it Kirinyaga (mountain of whiteness). British colonialists found it hard to pronounce hence Kiinyaa and later Kenya (Home of the Gods).
The Kikuyu, Luhya, Luo, Kalenjin and Kamba are the main people of Kenya.
Santa is "Santa Claus" (from Saint Nicholas, as Nicolaus).

Kenya's name has always been Kenya.
Kenyans have all sorts of cultures and religions. Those who are Christians will celebrate Christmas and some few of those will recognise Santa and the giving of gifts. Remember that Santa is a European custom, which comes from very old Germanic and Scandinavian customs so not many in Kenya have adopted the custom.
