i really dont know
the earths shape is sphere.
On the winter solstice, which occurs around December 21, the angle of the sun at noon in Kendallville, Indiana, is relatively low due to its northern latitude. The solar noon angle can be estimated to be around 24 degrees above the horizon. This is calculated by subtracting the latitude of Kendallville (approximately 41 degrees) from 90 degrees and adjusting for the declination of the sun on that date (approximately -23.5 degrees). Therefore, the sun's altitude at noon in Kendallville would be around 24 degrees.
June 21st, which the Summer solstice for those of us in the Northern hemisphere, is the winter solstice for those in the southern hemisphere. Their summer is our winter, their spring is our autumn, and so on. This is due to the ~24 degree tilt of the earth's axis of rotation, which stays at a static angle throughout earth's revolution around the sun. This angle is responsible for the amount of solar radiation (sunlight) a given point on the earth would accumulate throughout a day, which is a single rotation of the earth about it's axis.
The summer solstice occurs in the northern hemisphere when the sun is at the most acute angle above the horizon. It usually occurs on or about June 21.
The Earth is tilted on its axis at an angle of approximately 23.5 degrees. This tilt causes different parts of the Earth to receive varying amounts of sunlight throughout the year. When locations experience their strongest sunlight, they are typically oriented directly towards the Sun, which occurs during the summer solstice for that hemisphere. Conversely, during the winter solstice, those same locations are tilted away from the Sun, resulting in weaker sunlight.
They get shorter, because of the Winter Solstice. The winter solstice is when the shortest amount of day light hours acccure, and that day is on December 21. There is only 8 to 9 hours for a winter solstice.
During the solstice (our summer for north, our winter for south).
The noon solar intensity is greater on the summer solstice than on the winter solstice because the sun's rays hit the Earth more directly on the summer solstice due to the tilt of the Earth's axis. This leads to more concentrated solar energy reaching a given area, resulting in higher intensity.
The winter solstice (and the summer solstice) ocur for a very interesting reason. The sun 'moves' around the earth in a path that is very tilted to the earth's equator. When the sun is farthest on this path north of the equator, it is the summer solstice. And when it's farthesr south of the equator, it's the winter solstice. From the northern hemisphere, that is.
the earths shape is sphere.
On the winter solstice at a latitude of 57 degrees north, the sun will be about 33 degrees below the horizon at night. This is because the tilt of the Earth causes the sun to not rise above a certain angle during the winter months at this latitude.
Daylight increase is not a linear function. It is very low at each solstice and equinox, slowly increases to mid term and then decreases again. Latitude also needs to be taken into account.
The sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn at the moment of the December solstice. At the Winter solstice. It will next happen on 21 December 2014 (answer dated 21 Nov 2014)..
The hemisphere pointed farthest away from the sun experiences winter, as it receives the least direct sunlight. This occurs during the solstice, specifically the winter solstice for that hemisphere, when the Earth's axial tilt is such that the sun's rays are at their most indirect angle. For example, during the December solstice, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, leading to shorter days and cooler temperatures.

No. That would be an Equinox. The solstice is when the earth is tilted at maximum angle, (23 1/2 degrees) from the plane of the orbit around the sun. Either north or south pole is closer. The exact difference of night and day will vary depending on where you are on earth.
The angle of the axis of rotation does not change. It always points to what is known as the celestial north, though it does wobble slowly making a full wobble, or circle about every 26,000 years. This is called precession. It is like a gyroscope. See the link below for an image of precession
