(1) Common Visa Scheme - Similar to what CARICOM did during recent cricket championships, they can merge their international visa divisions and issue one that can be used by all nations that belong to the program. Similar to what the European Union does nowadays (e.g. Spanish visa allows you to travel to Italy, France, Portugal, etc.)
(2) Common currency: The drop of the U.S. dollar in recent years requires islands to create a strong, reliable currency such as the Eastern Caribbean Dollar that can be used on all islands. While some islands such as the French West Indies and Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands won't be able to join a common currency zone, other islands that have the U.S. dollar as an official currency such as the British Virgin Islands and the Turks & Caicos Islands would have a choice when selecting a currency that they can identify with.
(3) Free Travel and Passport Free Zone for nationals: Member states of such a program will drop residency and work requirements, National ID cards will be acceptable to cross from one island to another. Similar to the European Union.
(4) Creation of 2 airline hubs where foreign nationals can reach the Caribbean without having to go through the U.S., Canada, and Europe. This way, many nations that will require transit visas to travel through these countries in order to reach the Caribbean will bypass this. This will require lost of investment in at least two national or regional airlines that can fly long haul routes or tax incentives to major international airline such as Emirates, Etihad or LAN Airlines (Chile) to fly non-stop from the Middle East and use their main airports as a visa free transit zone for nationals of African, Asian and Latin American nations who are trying to reach the region without having to go through the U.S., Canada or Europe.
(5) Foreign exchange or educational opportunities for fireign students. The Caribbean can create programs that a member nation can use to promote their culture and language to nations not too familiar with the Caribbean, such as those in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The programs can be year round or seasonal (such as summer camps) and can be funded by charitable donations by companies doing business in the islands. This will promote students better understanding of the Caribbean region and also could help foster peace among warring nations such as Palestine and Israel, where students from these nations can live together and get to know each other thousands of miles away from their homes. Almost like a retreat, it promotes peace, culture and business.

The island of Haiti also called the island of Hispaniola is one of many Caribbean islands inhabited at the time of European arrival by the Taino Indians. The island of Hispaniola was divided among five or six long-established caciquedoms. Taíno cultural artifacts include cave paintings in several locations in the country, which have become national symbols of Haiti. In 1492 Christopher Columbus landed at Mole Saint-Nicolas and in 1697 Haiti was colonized by the French.
