Titan AE Which means After Earth!) is a science fiction movie from the Fox animated network, who also gave us Anastasia. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Teen Titans ( DC comics and television cartoon, affiliated with the Justice League in the sixties), or the Titanic disaster of April l4-l5 l9l2. That"s that. similar names do not mean similar stories. Bridge out!

There is no moon in our solar system by the name of "Tritan." The spelling here is ambiguous and could refer to one of two moons. Titan is one of the moons of Saturn. Triton is a moon of Neptune.
The name of the moon in this question could be a misspelling of either "Triton," the largest moon of Neptune, or of "Titan," the largest moon of Saturn.

In The Little Mermaid, Ariel's fathers name is tritan. Tritan being refered to poseidon . yes, unfortunately. :(
The quick answer is that you cannot know if Tritan is safe to use. I did a little internet searching, and found a list of three of the components used in the manufacture of Tritan. They are called monomers. Dimethyl terephthalate 2,2,4,4 tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol (TMCD) 1,4 cyclohexanedimethanol Eastman, the company that manufactures Tritan, claims that no heavy-metal catalysts, such as antimony, are used to make Tritan. They do admit that a "low toxicity catalyst metal" is used. They further claim that there is no "trace level migration of metal" from Tritan. Finally, Eastman's literature about Tritan specifies that it is safe for food contact at temperatures up to and including 100 degrees Celsius. This means that you should not microwave Tritan, or otherwise heat it up.
One could find more information about Tritan by visiting the Eastman Chemical Company website. The website is a well set up and user friendly. It gives users the ability to learn about Tritan without much time and effort.
