you have to be more specific but a gas tank vent solenoid is usually underneath the vehicle by the tank. The charcoal canister vent solenoid is on the charcoal canister in the engine compartment. Both are replaced with a screwdriver or sockets.
(Charcoal Canister and Vent/Purge Solenoid on this vehicle are located in front of the gas tank. Mounted to the gas tank and frame under the drivers door.)
If your Silverado is like most other cars today, it will use vacuum hoses to change the distribution between each setting. The vacuum in the hoses is created usually by the engine, and transferred to the switch you use in the cabin. Now if there is a slight split or crack in one of the hoses or one is loose this will lose the vacuum, which is why it will not change setting because there is no negative pressure to force the setting to change.
The anas on a rabbit is called a vent.
Have Buzz throw Woody or Jessie into the vent on the light

The EVAP vent solenoid on a 2006 GMC Sierra is on the driver's side of the vehicle. It is on a bracket next to the gas tank.
Vent solenoid
Usually the problem with this code is an open vent solenoid valve. 12 volts is provided to solenoid and the pcm grounds the solenoid. When the pcm checks the circuit it is looking for 12 volts on the wire at pcm. The pink wire should have 12 volts and the white wire should be the ground circuit from the pcm. Ohm your vent valve it will probably be open.
on the back of the gas tank
You probably replaces the purge solenoid on the intake, you want the vent solenoid at the canister.
It is mounted to the frame of the truck just in front of the fuel tank.
On the 2007 Chevy, it is by the gas tank towards the middle of the box of the truck.
purge or vent solenoid for what ? Kia sporatage does not have one.
What?
Yeah, it almost has to be a bad vent solenoid, or a broken connection in the wiring to it. This code is saying that the PCM is not seeing the voltage change when it grounds the vent solenoid to activate it. Should have system voltage at one terminal with the ignition on, and a ground at the other terminal when the PCM commands the vent valve open.
