make sure its not your fuse first which is inside of your fuse box if fuse is ok then you can go to light, if you have enough space behind the headlight then you can just untwist the bulb socket out and replace with new bulb then twist back in on some vehicles you might need to unscrew the headlight to get more access to bulb on my Ford i had to take out battery to get to headlight.
Good luck
Just had my turn signal switch replaced, for the second time, on my '98 Chevy Lumina. I paid $260 to a fairly trustworthy auto repair mechanic
In most cases you will need to replace the turn signal switch on the steering wheel for your 1983 Chevy Caprice Classic rather than fixing it. To replace it, remove the horn pad and then use a steering wheel puller and compressor to remove the steering column. You will then remove the signal along with the wiring harness and bus fuses. Replace the signal and wiring and then replace the steering column itself.
change the bulbs and fuses

Since the 92 Chevy Corsica is equipped with SRS (Saftey Restraint System), ie: Airbags, which is located in the steering wheel. In order to replace the turn signal switch you must remove the steering wheel. Therefore I would only highly advise you to take it to a dealer to have this done.
