Lexus GS300 Brake Light Bulb Troubleshooting (check in this order):

· Check Fuse(s)

· Check Brake Bulbs - Including bad bulbs, loose connected or incorrectly installed bulbs, left, right and center high mount - 1 bad bulb or connection in the circuit can cause the entire circuit to malfunction.

· Check Turn Signal Bulbs

· Check switch on brake pedal

· Check license plate light bulb and wiring (sometimes on same circuit)

· Check trailer hitch wiring harness (sometimes on same circuit)

· Check all wiring harnesses and wiring for shorts

Most likely it's the fuse or a burnt bulb breaking the circuit. Sometimes the license plate and/or the trailer hitch is wired into other circuits and can cause issues in other areas. Sometimes its wires grounding out somewhere on the vehicle. See sources and related links below for bulb information. See owner's manual for location and identification of fuses.

If you're asking about the starter solenoid, you don't repair it, just replace it. Once they're acting up it generally means that the electrical contact surfaces have failed and you won't be getting any more service out of it. Replace the entire starter.
