you need someone else with one of the games. and then you go up the stairs in the poke centre then there are three rooms both of you go in the same room (any will do just go in the same as your friend) then pick trade (in the first room you talk to your friend by pressing a and u pick it on the menu)

2: If you want to trade with friends via Nintendo WFC go downstairs in the poke-center and talk to the person
3: If you want to trade with randomers via Nintendo WFC go to Jubilife city and if you go left of the poke-center after the school go in that building and talk to the person at the counter.

Well in Pokemon XD gale of darkness there is a shadow lugia. you can send it to your game boy advance through a gba gamecube link cable. however you need to purify the lugia (make it a normal lugia(it wont be shadow anymore) ) before you can send it to the game. so you cant have a shadow lugia on diamond and pearl
