The only safe way to run any small household appliance, such as a blender -- which uses alternating current (ac) -- from a battery -- which can only produce direct current (dc) -- is to use a power inverter unit such as the type sold for use in caravans, boats, etc. They can be obtained from car accessory shops and usually run off a 12 volt car battery.

Before anyone could even start to give any other answer to this question they would have to know the motor's voltage and be sure if it can actually run on direct current. It may only run on alternating current as is delivered by a household power supply.

Unless they are actually being trained or supervised by a qualified science teacher or electrician, in general it is very dangerous for someone who is a novice in working with any kind of electricity to plan to connect several batteries together to produce voltages as high as 120 or 240 volts.

What is the power dissipated by a resistor that has 5 amps flowing through it with 120 volts applied?

The power in a resistor (in watts) is simply the product of the current (in amperes) times the voltage (in volts). The power in a resistor (in watts) is simply the product of the current (in amperes) times the voltage (in volts). The power in a resistor (in watts) is simply the product of the current (in amperes) times the voltage (in volts). The power in a resistor (in watts) is simply the product of the current (in amperes) times the voltage (in volts).

How many watt DC to AC converter do you need to run a 6 amp power tool?

The formula for watts (or power) is Amps times voltage. Therefore with a 6 amp draw times 120 volts would be about 720 watts. A 1000 watt power inverter would do the job.

How many watts of power do you expend when you exert a force of 1 N that moves a book 2 m in a time interval of 1 s?

You would expend 2 watts of power when you exert a force of 1N that moves a book 2m in a time interval of 1s.

How would you use batteries in a radio?

Usually, radios have a slot at the back or bottom where you can insert batteries (Often AA). If it does not have a slot, and isn't solar powered or anything, then contact the radio manufacturer, who will tell you how to use batteries. If the radio has to be plugged into a socket outlet and has no slots for any batteries, then the only way you can use batteries to supply it with power is to use an electronic power inverter unit. Several types are available. The most common can use a 12 volt battery and has a socket outlet into which you can plug the radio.

What type of circuit would you find an electrolytic capacitor?

Many, but a near guaruntee would be any power supply. Electrolytic capacitors are the ones that look like batteries.

How many 12v batteries could be use to power 500kva ups?

Well unless you mistyped something 500kva is 500,000 watts. That would be 41,666 12 volt batteries!

How can the 250watt PC power supply unit be replaced with a 12v 4ah batteries and how many batteries you need and how would it be connected to make the PC work on batteries for 2h?

First find the current which is 250/12 = 21A rounded off. So you would need 6 of the batteries in parallel to get a bit more than 1 hr and probably 11 batteries in parallel would provide around 2 hours of operation. This is not precise since the power supply wouldn't always consuming 250 watts of power.

If transmitter power is increased from 200 Watts to 400 Watts how do you convert to Db form?

Decibels (db) is relative power, log base 2, times 3. Increasing power from 200 watts to 400 watts is doubling power, so the decibel change is +3 db.800 watts would be +6 db, 1600 watts would be +9 db, 100 watts would be -3 db, 50 watts would be -6 db, and so on.

Could works a 500 watts of power and 3 phases motor with a wind generator?

Yes, but it would have to be a pretty big and expensive wind generator. You would need an inverter to produce at least 500 watts of 3 phase power. Unless you also had some big batteries, you could only run your motor when the wind is blowing!

Power in watts is current x voltageFor 120 volts it would be .71 x 120 = 85 watts

How many watts are 4680000000joules?

Watts are a measure of power, Joules are a measure of energy. The energy is equal to the power times the time. So if you have a power of 5 watts running for 7 seconds, that is 5x7 Joules of energy, or 35 Joules. Looked at another way, power measures how fast energy is converted. So 35 Joules converted in 7 seconds would be 5 watts of power, but it would need 35 watts to convert that energy in 1 second.

Does a 100 watt dc motor put out 100 watts in reverse?

Yes it can but it is a bit more complicated then that. The motor that is rated at 100 Watts will draw 100 watts electrical power, but will only output 70-80% of that in mechanical power. So in order to get 100 watts back out you would have to put in ~120 watts of mechanical power to get 100 watts electrical back out.
