Though most would assume that the Duggar family has the most kids (they have 19), that is not correct.

From 1725-1765 a Russian peasant woman gave birth to 16 sets of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets. that equals 69 children. Her husband remarried and claims the most children- he had 4 sets of quadruplets, 7 sets of triplets, 16 sets of twins with the man's first wife, and two sets of triplets with his second wife. this is 87 children total.

A woman in Italy gave birth to 2 sets of quads, 1 set of triplets, 1 set of twins, and 19 singleton births- today only 15 of the 32 survive.

A woman in NJ gave birth to 7 sets of twins, 2 sets of triplets, and a set of quints.

In modern times however, the Duggar's still don't claim the most children- on DiscoveryHealth, a family who has 27 children (which includes 2 sets of twins and have children who are over age 20) is most likely the family who has the most children as of 2010.
