Whereas Twilight is more recent. In my opinion The Vampire Diaries is way better than Twilight (don't hate me, it's just my opinion) I hope this answers your question Second person- I really think vampire diaries is better. But I'm sure that some other people will choose Twilight because it is more recent and I'm sure not all of them read Vampire diaries.
