About 10,000,000 galleons. I'm kidding, of course, but it'd be billions of dollars! it's huge, is landscaped excellently, has a waterfall, lake, it's in the Scottish highlands, and defys some laws of physics, so probably not cheap...

She wanted them to attack Harry and either give him the kiss or force him to use magic so he would get expelled from Hogwarts.
As it was a castle (or somewhat like one) and the King resided inside, it would be reasonable for there to be guards posted to protect the castle from any intruders. This was common practice and is nothing unusual.

I don't see why you would not want to visit! Hogwarts is the safest place on earth, full of magic, and looks like a castle!

Yes, they did. I've been there, it's set up just like Diagon Alley in the beginning when you first arrive to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Upon entering the park, there is all of the shops you would see typically in Diagon Alley, and, you can acually browse and enter some/most of the shoppes. Then, there is the Hogwarts castle that was built, the exterior of the castle is built similar to that of the movie-version castle. But, the inside however, is much different. There is acually a themed ride that goes throughout the castle. It's a brilliant design. I hope this information may ammount to something!

it is quicker and easier to build the castle.
Norman castles were built by the Normans following the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. They were typically constructed using motte-and-bailey design, featuring a wooden or stone keep on top of a raised earthwork (motte) with an enclosed courtyard (bailey) below. Norman castles played a key role in establishing Norman control over England and Wales, influencing the architectural landscape of the region.
