With the ability to do software updates and give added abilities like the Playstation Plus features the Playstation Move Features the 3D capability it works great. The latest update 4.10 on February 72012 improved the network browsing some which is one of it's shortcomings. It is so much more than a game player that many features are only used by some individuals like video editing or even some of the 3rd party features like Netflix or sports and music third party sites. It really does need an internet connection to make full use of it's capabilities just as much as a home PC and it should be on a HDTV.
