ANSWER:Its for safety reasons and for time reasons. If an actor steps out of the car as normal, he has to be careful not to be run over. Directors just made them slide to the passenger side. This saves time for them to have to step into traffic and walk around the vehicle. Time is money in films.

Um...no. Every aspect of a movie shoot is controlled; there is no traffic that is not intended to be there. If a director wants an actor to step out of a car on the driver side, any traffic will be choreographed so the actor can do that. And it doesn't take any longer to get out on the driver side and walk around than it does to slide across a bench seat and get out the passenger side.

Would you seat an incapacitated person in an exit row if the passenger wanted to move to that seat?

No incapacitated person should sit in an exit row. If the passenger wants to move to that seat, I might put him or her close, such as one row back, to keep him from panicking. Still, it is the responsibility of the people in the exit row to help get the others off the plane. I would rather have the people in the exit row lift him off the plane than have him sit there helpless.
