yes Kira is stronger then athrun.. or at least that's what id like to say. im not really sure myself. personaly i believe athrun is the stronger one out of the two of them. hes serious and does his absolute best. kira on the other hand needs to be more serious when he fights. being the ultimate coordinator means he just a little better then coordinator which are better then naturals. but all in all. one cannot be better then the other just through birth and stuff. like naturals coordinators have to practice and make their skills better too. although kira got actual experience straight from the battle. athrun got training and earned a wine red uniform which represents him as an elite. kira may have a stronger body and mind that can hold more information then anyone else ever in exsistence but he doesnt do anything worth while. he just spouts out things which get pretty annoying over time to me about the future and that humanity can make its own choices. athrun on the other hand is still searching for an answer in gundam seed destiny which asked kira in gundam seed. athr8un is out there soing something. kira is sitting in a battle ship under water doing nothing but watching crap.

Whoever answered with that paragraph above , is clearly someone who has no idea what he's talking about, he cant even type properly for starters, probably in primary school. Anyway yes Kira is stronger then Athrun, strength isn't only to do with fighting and combat, the way i see it is that Kira being involved in computer science at age 16 and being able to recreate an OS in the space of 5-10 minutes is far more valuable/ useful and even "stronger" then being able to shoot some people, Just cause athrun knows how to use a gun, in no way does it mean he's stronger, after reading this you can see that Kira is clearly the correct answer. So yes Kira is stronger then Athrun, throughout the whole series.
