Every parent mustprovide children with a place to sleep for 8 continuous hours that is clean and suitable for sleeping. They don't have to have a bed per say, but a sofa for older children or a play pen for tots can be deemed suitable. What loving parent wouldn't provide a place for their child to sleep?
A responsible 12-year-old can be left alone for 2-5 hours regularly or 3-6 hours on occasion, and perhaps up to 8 hours only once a year--so long as he or she has the ability to contact an adult for help or assistance at any hour at any time (and so long as an adult is aware he or she is being left alone and can check up on him or her). An irresponsible 12-year-old shouldn't be left alone for more than 4 hours.
Section 170-C:5 of the New Hampshire Revised Statutes lists the available grounds for termination of a parent's rights. Subsection I defines child abandonment as a period of at least six months during which the parent left the child without means of support or without communication between the child and parent. Alternatively, the parent may abandon a child by leaving the child without any way to identify the child or parent. If the petition for termination of parental rights includes sufficient facts and evidence to show child abandonment, the parent may involuntarily lose all parental rights, including the right to child custody, on a permanent basis.

In general, an employer must pay you for every hour that you work. This even includes time that the employer feels you did not do a good job. The employer can write you up or discipline you in other ways, but he or she cannot withhold pay for hours worked. If you are not being paid for all the hours that you worked, you should contact the U.S. Wage and Hour Division, or your state Department of Labor.
