The universe doesn't have a certain amount. It goes on and on. its like a 8. if you look at it closley, and put it on its side, it will be called a infinity. It means that it NEVER has an end. One there is a stop in the universe, there has to be somthing behind it.

∙ 13y agoThe universe will be expanding for the foreseeable future. We don't really know for how long, though. It is impossible to calculate the critical density of the universe, which is the value which determines whether the universe will expand forever, or whether it will reach a certain point before contracting.

∙ 10y agoIt seems unlikely for you to physically survive the end of the universe, since you _ARE_ part of the universe.
However, a Science Fiction story from about 40 years ago ("Tau Zero", by Poul Anderson) portrayed a starship crew that accelerated almost to light-speed, in which time dilation slowed their aging almost to a stop. As the universe collapsed around it toward the next Big Bang, the crew kept clear of the catacysm and crossed the boundary into the next cycle, surviving to settle a new planet in the new universe. It was a great story, but that was only science fiction.

∙ 10y agoWhatever the "end of the Universe" is, that doesn't seem likely. You don't even need to know exactly how the Universe will end. In any case, there are lots of irreversible processes - to read more about this topic, read the Wikipedia article, or perhaps some other sources, on "Second Law of Thermodynamics". There is no known way to revert such processes; there probably never will be.
