taiga
The vegetation zone or biome associated with the aurora borealis is primarily boreal forest, also known as taiga. This biome is characterized by cold temperatures, coniferous trees like spruce and pine, and a mix of shrubs and mosses. It is typically found in northern regions such as Canada, Alaska, Scandinavia, and Russia where the aurora borealis occurs.
Natural resources found in the Taiga biome are coal, trees, and oil. Some common trees found in this biome are the black spruce, Douglas-fir, balsam fir, and paper birch.

You cant make it snow or rain. For snow you must be in a Tundra biome (the ones that are coverd in snow and have spruce trees) any time its raining, go over to that biome and it will be snowing!
