There are many craters named after the early Apollo astronauts as well as some Soviet (Russian) cosmonauts and early rocket pioneers. As the first man to walk on the moon, Armstrong definitely deserves a lunar crater named after him.

While they were on the lunar surface, the astronauts used the Lunar Roving Vehicle, or Lunar Rover, only on the final three missions from Apollo 15 on. This extended the distance they could travel from the Lunar Module. See the Web Link to the left for more information.
All of the others were. But each one got its own special name.
In the Star Wars mythos, there are two planets in the Corellian System named Talus and Tralus. They both orbit around the same barycenter, therefore they are "sister planets." There is a space station at the barycenter called Centerpoint Station, which played a major role in the Corellian Trilogy of books.
NO!!!! However, there have been named missions to the outer planets, notably 'Voyager'.

In fact the rockets were called Saturn, Apollo was the name of the missions. NASA used "classical" names to name their programmes from 1958 until the Space Shuttle missions started. The first manned missions were Mercury (the messenger of the Gods), the intermediate missions between Mercury and Apollo were called Gemini - named after the astrological sign of the twins as the Gemini missions had two astronauts per flight. Apollo was named by Abe Silverstein after the God of light and archery.
No gods are named after planets. But the planets are named after Roman gods.
Some of the planets were named after greek or roman gods.
The first three missions of the Apollo Program were unmanned test flights of Apollo hardware. These missions were officially named AS-201, AS-202, and AS-203. The first manned mission was named AS-204. However AS-204 met with disaster, when fire broke out during a routine ground test and all three crew members were killed. The widows of the three astronauts asked NASA to retire the mission naming convention in honor of their husbands. NASA agreed, and AS-204 was renamed Apollo 1. NASA then made the decision that further missions would begin with Apollo 4. It is my pure speculation that the names 2 and 3 were skipped in honor of the Apollo 1 crew. Since there were three astronauts killed, Apollos 1, 2, and 3 were retired in their memory. As such, the next flight was named Apollo 4, so there was no official Apollo 2.

The Saturn V (Saturn five) rocket was used to launch the astronauts into space. The project was named the Apollo missions.Neil Armstrong was on Apollo 11 which was the first mission to actually land on the Moon.
You have that backwards. The planets were named for the gods.
planets were named as discovered, so when the Greeks found them the were named with greek,
