Not due to the war. In 1938 severe flooding in Los Angeles delayed the Awards by one week. Then in 1968 the ceremony was moved from April 8th to April 10th out of respect for Martin Luther King, Jr., whose funeral was April 9th, and in 1981 it was delayed 24 hours due to the assassination attempt on President Reagan. The only other restrictions or delays were in 2003, when the Red Carpet area was limited to the area just in front of the theater door and the bleachers were eliminated due the the US troop invasion of Iraq the Thursday before the telecast.
