Three cities come to mind when thing about the US State of Pennsylvania:
A. Philadelphia. The city of brotherly love and a historic city at the time of the American Revolution. It's also the largest city in the State and is home to many fine universities.
B. Pittsburgh. This is known for its industrial past and its steel mills. It has the reputation of being one of the safest and high quality cities in the USA. It also is the home of many fine universities.
C. Harrisburg. This is the capital of Pennsylvania. What first comes to mind for this writer is the fact that the US Civil War battle of Gettysburg was fought as a direct result of Robert E. Lee's campaign to capture the city. Lee's goal was to bring the war to the North and help towards having other nations recognize the Confederacy as a nation. It also would have served to enhance efforts in the North to come to some kind of agreement to end the War.
The cities of northern plain are jodhpour, kanpur and haridwar.
