Stateless ethnic groups are ethnic groups that share certain cultural, political, and/or historic qualities, such as religion, location, or art, but do not share enough qualities to be recognized as a nationality/nation and have no state(homeland) that is politically recognized as belonging to them. The key qualifications to be considered a nation/nationality are shared language, religion, political/historical history, common geographic area, national iconography (or symbols that relate to a sense of nationalism), a history of demand/yearning for self-determination/autonomy/independence, and art. Examples are the Kurds(Turkey, Iran, Iraq), Berbers, Kashmirs, Tibetans(China), Saharawis, and Basques. Please feel free to edit, especially the examples.
