∙ 15y agoFrom religious point of view there is no similarities, Diwali is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists. Diwali is a dharmic festival having its origin in India. Christmas is celebrating the birthday of Jesus whereas Diwali is celebrated for different reason as four religion celebrate it for their own reason around the same time.
